Description
Meinl B1 fire protection foam is a moisture-curing, climate-friendly 1-component polyurethane joint sealing foam, B1 according to DIN 4102-1 and tested according to DIN EN 1366-4 in conjunction with DIN EN 1363-1 for one-sided fire exposure.
Application examples :
For filling joints in masonry. The use of a primer is recommended for plaster walls.
Foaming cavities, filling joints in XPS facade insulation panels (protect foam from permanent UV exposure). Sealing between two fire compartments.
For sealing, filling, insulating, mounting, soundproofing and installing (e.g. electrical installations, penetrations, safes), especially when good fire protection is required.
Advantages :
B1 fire-resistant. Fire resistance duration of up to 240 minutes (with proper joint design); the specifications in the test report must be followed for correct fire protection installation.
Adheres excellently to concrete, brick, plaster, polystyrene, rigid PVC and much more (except for e.g. polyethylene, silicone rubber and similar materials).
Once hardened, the foam can be mechanically processed (cut, sanded, drilled), plastered over, glued over, and painted over.

One 750 ml can is sufficient for approximately 40 linear meters of foam strand with a diameter of 2 cm.
