The door stop is attached to the door at the greatest possible distance from the hinge, and the catch is screwed to the wall at the appropriate location. Mounting the door stop horizontally maintains full functionality even if the door subsequently rises or falls slightly. The ball pressure can be adjusted using adjusting screws. The door stop is made of steel with an aluminum catch.
