Description
- The STIHL Smart Connector creates the basic requirements for using the digital services "STIHL connect" or "STIHL connect pro". When correctly installed on the machine, the STIHL Smart Connector records the operating hours while the machine is running, saves them, and transmits them via Bluetooth to the smartphone or tablet, as long as they are within range.
- STIHL connected is a cloud-based system consisting of the STIHL Smart Connector and software components such as the STIHL app, the STIHL cloud, and the STIHL connect pro portal. The machine data received by the STIHL app is transmitted to the cloud (central data hub) via Wi-Fi or a mobile data network. The machine data stored in the cloud is available to the customer for use in the app and the connect pro portal.

- STIHL connect pro was developed specifically for the needs of commercial customers; the aim is to enable digital fleet management with a transparent overview of the entire machine fleet and upcoming work assignments.
